Exploration B.Sc Geology (Hons)
Sherlock has successfully completed his BSc Geology Honours from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2009.
He is currently employed as an exploration geologist at Minxcon Exploration. His experience includes extensive field exploration geology in a wide range of minerals and geological settings, GIS application in geology, and 3D geological modelling. Sherlock has gained excellent proficiency in geological field work, as well as the associated and relevant office work. He has worked on drilling projects where he monitored and supervised diamond drilling campaigns.

Uwe Engelmann (B.Sc. Hons, Wits University, 1991) has gained over seventeen years’ experience in the mining and exploration industry, working for various mining companies in South Africa. During this time he was involved in research in Antarctica, held various geological positions, as well as worked as an Ore Resource Manager for eight years where he was involved in the production and exploration of the shafts, strategic planning, ore resources and reserves, as well as the daily management of the shafts. He has been heading up the exploration division of Minxcon Exploration (formerly Agere Project Management) since 2007 where he has been involved in most aspects of the exploration, predominantly in Africa, in a wide range of commodities including gold, platinum, copper, coal, manganese and iron ore.
Senior Resource Geologist | Exploration
Laurence has been involved in the mining industry for over 24 years on both the production and consulting side. He has been engaged in 3D geological modelling for over 17 years on many different deposits including gold, platinum and chrome. He has used Vulcan , Surpac, Datamine, Micromine and Leapfrog3D geological programs in the creation and modification of 3D geological Models and resource work.
Laurence obtained his National Diploma in Economic Geology in from Witwatersrand Technickon in 1994 and has been operating on a managerial level for 12 years, having lead many teams in different work environments – from mine production to software sales and leading teams in consulting.
Laurence’s role at Minxcon is that of Senior Resource Geologist.
