FEASIBILITY STUDIES

Concept studies determine the potential economic viability of mineral resources without significant engineering designs.

Once economic viability is proven at conceptual level a project can advance to a pre-feasibility study, the main purpose of a pre- feasibility study is trade-off studies, which will comprehensively define the viability of a range of mining and processing options. A pre- feasibility study will include a financial analysis based on realistic assumptions of technical, engineering, operating, economic factors and the evaluation of other relevant factors.

The preferred option from the pre-feasibility study is typically advanced in a definitive feasibility study. A definitive feasibility study will demonstrate, with higher confidence, that the project can be constructed and operated in a technically sound and economically viable manner. The study will support the raising of finances for the project from banks or other sources, and provide a basis for detailed designs, construction and execution.

bankable feasibility study is a study prepared with sufficient detail to allow a company to submit it to investors or lenders when seeking funding for a project. The level of detail required for a study is determined by the requirements of the investors or lenders and could vary and range between a concept, pre-feasibility or feasibility study.

The minimum requirement for a Competent Person, acting reasonably, to classify Mineral Reserves is a pre-feasibility or definitive feasibility study. A concept study is considered to be too speculative to classify a Mineral Reserve.

Minxcon has a very capable team able to complete studies from concept to definitive feasibility studies. These studies typically include, but are not limited to:-

• Mineral resource estimations
• Mine design and production scheduling
• Process design
• Operating cost estimations
• Capital estimations
• Engineering & infrastructure design
• Financial valuations
• Operational readiness planning
• Mining right applications.

Our experienced project teams have the skills required to complete these studies, extracting fit for purpose innovative, and creative mining and processing solutions. We also strive to ensure delivery of quality projects while being extremely conscious of projects costs.

We are fully conversant with the mineral reporting codes and can use our feasibility reports to compile CPRs compliant with all of these codes (SAMREC & SAMVAL, JORC, NI43-101).
