Johan is Co-founder and Director of Minxcon (Pty) Ltd. Johan is a qualified geologist and mineral economist with over 35 years’ experience in the mining and financial industry. This includes 15 years as independent mining consultant specialising in the valuation of Mining Projects and 12 years as a mining analyst at two major stockbroking firms and investment bank.  During this time, he was rated one of the top platinum and gold mining analysts and became a globally recognised industry specialist. He acts as Competent (or Qualified) Valuator for mineral asset valuations.

B.Eng Mining (Hons)

Johannes joined the team at Minxcon in August 2017 as a Financial Valuator. He is currently working on a wide range of projects involved in market research, mine operating cost and capital cost evaluation and financial estimations. Johannes completed his Honours Degree in mining engineering in 2015, specialising in mineral economics and worked as a mining researcher. Research projects included both technical and market research topics for the MHSC and private companies.

BSc (Geology and Physics), Graduate Diploma in Mining Engineering (GDE)

Efet has 22 years of experience encompassing public reporting of Mineral Resources, underground and open pit mine production, mineral exploration and geotechnical engineering for mining and construction. He is highly skilled in the use of Datamine StudioRM™, Datamine Strat3D^TM and Geovia Minex™ software for 3D digital modelling of Mineral Resources in various global jurisdictions for a wide range of commodities from heavy mineral sands, base and precious metals to coal in various coalfields. His range of practical experience and varied skillset makes Efet an integral part of the Minxcon team.

BSc (Microbio., Biochem.), BSc Hons (Biotech.), MSc (Env.Sci.), Pr.Sci.Nat., EAPASA

Ethel has 8 years of professional experience encompassing management and coordination of multi-disciplinary projects in line with environmental and social legislations and sustainabable reporting standards within the energy and mining, infrasucture and construction, public service industries and sectors.  She forms an integral part of the Minxcon team, and her expertise includes but is not limited to environmental social and governance advisory, environmental licencing and permitting coordination, stakeholder engagement, compliance monitoring, auditing, technical reports compilation and reviews, environmental training, risk  and cost assessments, project management, compilation of project and investment propsals.  

M.Sc ( Geology) 

Billy has 4 years of experience in the mineral exploration and mining consulting industry. He joined the team at Minxcon in September 2024 as a Junior Resource Geologist. His duties at Minxcon include database management, mineral resource modelling and estimation. Billy is skilled in the use of Datamine StudioRM™ software for 3D digital modelling of Mineral Resources. His commodity knowledge encompasses platinum-group elements (PGEs) and base-metal deposits.

M.Sc ( Geology) 

Duran has four years of experience in the mineral exploration and mining consulting industry. He obtained his undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology from University of the Western Cape in 2019. He also completed a course in Strata Control Metalliferous Theory, certified by the Minerals Council of South Africa in 2024. He joined the team at Minxcon in September 2025 as a Mining Geotechnical Geologist. His duties at Minxcon include database management, mineral resource modelling and estimation. Duran has international and local experience in mining geotechnical engineering and field-based geological investigations. Specialist skills include field and site geotechnical data acquisition, rock mass quality characterisation, laboratory rock testing, kinematic, and slope stability analysis.
